Lease to own or a bank car loan in Dubai: which costs less?
If a bank approves you and you want a low monthly payment over several years, a bank loan can cost less each month. Lease to own with Gleeven has no bank, no salary certificate and no interest over 12 months, but each payment is higher because the plan is short: 12 or 24 months.

The same car, two ways to pay
Take the Porsche Macan 2023. With Gleeven you pay AED 29,400 when you sign and then 24 payments of AED 11,025, or AED 24,800 and 12 payments of AED 18,600. Over 12 months the down payment and the payments add up to the car price, so there is no interest. Insurance is included.
With a bank you usually pay a down payment set by the bank, then interest on the rest for every year of the loan, and you buy insurance yourself every year. The monthly payment is lower because it is spread over more years. Ask the bank for the total of all payments, then compare it with ours.
| Bank car loan | Gleeven lease to own | |

| Interest | Yes, on what you borrow | None over 12 months. Over 24 months the total is higher |
| Monthly payment | Lower, spread over more years | Higher, because the plan is short |
| Insurance | You buy it yourself every year | Included in the price |
| Whose name the car is in | Yours, with the bank's lien on it | The seller's, until the last payment |
When the bank is the better choice
- Your salary goes to a UAE bank and the bank will lend to you.
- You want the lowest monthly payment and are happy to pay over several years.
- You want the car in your own name from day one.
When lease to own is the better choice
- The bank said no because of papers: no salary certificate, a trade licence, cash income or new in the UAE.
- You do not want a loan or interest.
- You want to own the car in 12 months or 24 months.
- You want insurance included and one clear payment each month.
How to compare any two offers
- Write down what you pay at the start.
- Multiply the monthly payment by the number of months and add the first payment. That is your total.
- Add what is not included: insurance, registration, service.
- Check who owns the car during the plan and when it goes to your name.
- Check what happens if you pay early or are late.
